Sacha Baron Cohen Fires Back at Sarah Palin and President Trump

Cohen poses at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards at the Royal Opera House in London

According to Palin, the noted FOX News personality had been lured all the way from the wilds of Alaska to the ostensible safety of Washington, D.C., where she was compelled to sit for an interview with a wounded USA military veteran who she later came to believe was actually a heavily-disguised Sacha Baron Cohen sitting in a wheelchair, a thing that could happen to literally anyone.

The seven-episode series marks Baron Cohen's first television project in a decade after he launched his comedy career as subversive white English rapper Ali G., whose interviews included Donald Trump and Newt Gingrich.

Who Is America? premieres Sunday, July 15 at 10/9c on Showtime. His 2006 faux documentary film "Borat" ridiculed Kazakhstan and Middle Americans. Sacha, aka Dr. Ruddick, says he's the one who interviewed her, and adds.

Conservative pundit and ex-congressman Joe Walsh has revealed on Twitter that he was also duped into an interview with Cohen for the show after being told that Steven Spielberg and Rupert Murdoch also took part.

Sacha Baron Cohen returning to TV with 'Who Is America?'
His next project was 2006's Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, a feature film. After teasing fans on social media, Sacha Baron Cohen has finally revealed the shenanigans he has been up to over the past year.

Charles Oakley Arrested, Accused Of Cheating At Vegas Casino
Oakley was taken into custody and charged with committing or attempting to commit a fraudulent act in a gaming establishment. However, according to TMZ , Oakley's reps say, "This is an insignificant matter that will be quickly resolved".

You'll recall, Palin blasted Cohen for pulling a prank on her that will, apparently, air on his new Showtime series, "Who Is America?". which premieres this weekend.

"Out of respect for what I was led to believe would be a thoughtful discussion with someone who had served in uniform, I sat through a long "interview" full of ...disrespect and sarcasm". Much like Sarah Palin being asked freaky questions by any stranger she encounters in a wheelchair, we are prepared to accept all of this at face value.

He said he "stopped and questioned their direction" and then producers "rushed me out of the studio as an apparent fight broke out".

"The disrespect of our U.S. military and middle-class Americans via Cohen's foreign commentaries under the guise of interview questions was perverse", she wrote.
