Marcus Smart garnering interest from 4 teams

Jaylen Brown

According to Himmelsbach, Smart met with two teams Monday and had another two meetings scheduled for Tuesday.

Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge on Wednesday was asked whether there are still players his team is interested in as it combs the free agent market with two available roster spots.

It appears the Celtics' negotiations with Marcus Smart are a bit tense, with the guard reportedly "disgusted" that Boston was not in contact with him shortly after free agency opened.

Without bus, without other things, we just have to fight but I don't think the UFC can make the decision about this fight. Askelovic - better known as Aspencrow - spent five months handcrafting the 100kg sculpture from photographs alone.

Martin, who made his Summer League debut with the Celtics on Friday, played in his third game in four days and turned in his best production yet during Boston's 100-80 triumph over the Charlotte Hornets. The fact that they wanted Zach Lavine is pretty much your gold-plated guarantee that their front office and ownership is too clueless to understand what Smart's worth.

That strategy isn't without risk, though.

In his four seasons in Boston, Smart has averaged 9.4 points, 3.9 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 36.0 percent from the field and 29.3 percent from 3-point range. While he may not suffer a Noel-like fall in terms of value, it's not hard to see a combination of factors hurting his leverage as a free agent again next year. Sacramento is unlikely to offer Smart such a lucrative deal, but it's expected to be closer to the $12-14 million salary that Smart was reportedly seeking in a new deal. Assuming he's willing to wait, somebody-whether it's the Celtics or another team-should meet his asking price before the start of the regular season.
