Fortnite Rifts Expanding, Game Getting Weirder

Fortnite week 10 challenges leaked

The game's next Battle Pass isn't arriving until later this month but it already looks like we're some changes to the map.

These sky symbols and warp portals are just a series of changes to the Fortnite map that have been added over the past few days following the global Rocket launch event.

And while no damage was found at these locations, a crack in the sky was soon spotted. Of course, no one really knows what this means.

Season 5 is due to go live in-game later in July, and will likely bring with it the conclusion to whatever's going on with the big 'ol crack in the sky.

The skydiving challenge had some problems when it was last implemented, so hopefully Epic Games have managed to solve the problems from then. The folks over at Fortnite Intel have also noticed that a smaller rift has opened up in front of the Motel sign.

The center of the 7th, 8th and 9th Storm circles can now shift in random directions instead of just simply shrinking. It's unclear what these Rifts can do, but players will be testing it out once the game's servers go live.

There's one that has appeared outside the Lonely Lodge. There have been teases that this will point to some big changes for Fortnite Season 5, which is set to begin on Thursday, July 12 at 1AM PT. Shacknews will continue to follow this story and will offer any updates as they come in.

Could these mini rifts be places where we will see new buildings that are part of the time travel theme?

The latest and final challenges for Season 4 of Fortnite Battle Royale have been leaked ahead of their official reveal.

Data miners believe they have found the Week 10 list of tasks, which will go live later this week.
