Conor McGregor to be presented with lifelike statue for 30th birthday

Conor Mc Gregor has been given this sculpture for his 30th birthday

Askelovic, also known as Aspencrow, said it was an "honour" that the Irish fighter has accepted the gift, which weighs 100 kg and was designed exclusively from photographs.

Askelovic - better known as Aspencrow - spent five months handcrafting the 100kg sculpture from photographs alone.

Born in Dublin in 1988, McGregor rose to become one of the biggest stars in the world of mixed martial arts (MMA).

"The Eagle" is the reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight title holder.

Last August, he switched to boxing to fight Floyd Mayweather.

"If not Conor, if not GSP, I think Alvarez vs. Poirier, I think the victor deserves a title shot".

He's due to appear in court in NY later this month to face charges of assault and criminal mischief.

Nevada execution halted; drug company opposes midazolam use
Midazolam was substituted in May for expired prison stocks of diazepam, a similar sedative commonly known as Valium. Scott Raymond Dozier, a twice-convicted killer, has said he prefers to be executed over living in prison.

The artist admits that he hasn't actually spoken to McGregor directly, but has been communicating with him through a friend.

"That's how I got the information that he knows about the sculpture, and that he accepts it", he told the BBC.

The "hyper-realistic" piece depicts McGregor, nicknamed The Notorious, entombed in rock.

"I do see him very hungry, coming down to regular jiu-jitsu class and throwing a gi on".

The two other sculptures can be seen on display at JD Malat Gallery from July 14 to September 30.

Khabib Nurmagomedov has listed a few names that he would fight next if he can't battle it out with Conor McGregor or Georges St-Pierre. "I feel he's my soulmate".

The piece, said to be worth approximately $66,000 United States dollars, will be gifted to McGregor for the special occasion, while two other sculptures will be on display and then sold by London's JD Malat Gallery. Without bus, without other things, we just have to fight but I don't think the UFC can make the decision about this fight.
