Brazil legend Ronaldo on Neymar: "We all expected more from him"

Recently, Brazilian legend Ronaldo has hit out at Neymar saying that he expected more from the superstar footballer in the world cup.

PSG ace Neymar was built up as Brazil's big hope for success in Russian Federation but, despite scoring two goals and assisting one more in five games, he was unable to help his country progress beyond the quarter-finals.

His performances were at times overshadowed by the criticism he received for theatrically reacting to tackles and physical attention.

Neymar was also slammed by many for going to ground too easily at times, but there were concerns over his fitness after he missed the last two months of the 2017/18 campaign due to injury.

"We all expected more from him because he's the star of the team", Ronaldo told SporTV, as quoted by Spanish publication Sport.

"I don't know if it was the foot operation or something else, but I felt we was limited by something".

Loke said investigation would be initiated immediately. "Our concern is always the fare implemented by these companies on the end user".

Though Neymar will be 30 by the time of Qatar 2022, Ronaldo believes his former worldwide team-mate still has time to make a mark on football's biggest stage.

'He needs to learn from this World Cup. He's young, talented and there's a lot of responsibility on his shoulders'.

However, his post-foul theatrics have stolen the spotlight in Russian Federation and on the internet, where his exaggerated reactions have been criticised and mocked by media and fans.

Brazil crashed out of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russian Federation in the quarter-finals and much of its blame went to talisman Neymar.

"I asked him five years ago and he explained that on many occasions when he's kicked he reacts in that way so that the blow isn't greater", Ronaldo explained.
