The worldwide operation saw all 12 boys on the Thai football team rescued safely, including Mr Chanatwong, which eventually ended on Tuesday.
The boys lost on average 2kg during their ordeal but are said to be in good physical condition. But as a whole, "everybody is doing well", Thongchai Lertwilairatanapong, a public health inspector, told reporters at Wednesday's news conference.
"My job was to transfer them along", he said, adding the "boys were wrapped up in stretchers already when they were being transferred" and were monitored at regular intervals by doctors posted along the kilometres-long escape route.
Although the boys were found safe, the water levels and complexity of the cave system meant rescuers weren't able to retrieve the first four boys until July 8, more than two weeks' after they went missing. They were all were rushed to the hospital mostly because of fear of infection. All 12 boys are being kept away from family members to prevent them from catching infections.

"The situation went beyond just being a rescue mission and became a symbol of unity among mankind", he said. Relatively mild weather and a massive effort to pump out water created a window of opportunity.

Each boy was accompanied underwater by two divers carrying their oxygen tanks for them, and guiding them through the murky tunnels. Lit by several beams of white light, the divers in wet suits and helmets are seen submerging themselves in the water and grabbing on to a metal dive line used to guide them through the winding channels of the six-mile cave.
