Sei Young Kim sets 54-hole mark at 24 under

Lydia Ko moved to third with a 66 in her third round on the LPGA Tour

But after the major tournament, I realised, 'OK, I can do that.' If I imagine, it comes true.

Kim posted an eight-under 64 on Saturday to get to 24-under and will have an eight-shot lead with 18 holes left on Sunday.

Lydia Ko struggled for accuracy in the final round of the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic. Her only blemish all week came in round two, when she made a double bogey at the 17th.

The South Korean started the day in second place but jumped to the top of leaderboard after firing nine birdies, including five in six holes from the 10th. "It's why I play golf - all the practice days, all the misses, all the bad moments, all are taken care of with putts like that".

But now she's surpassed the player she idolized for so long, in the process also setting the LPGA 72-hole record at 257. "So, yeah, I did today, so I'm very happy with another good round". The 32 holes under par are another record, breaking the mark of 30 set by Brittany Lincicome, Gerina Pillar and Lexi Thompson, all three at the 2017 Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic. Carlota Giganda of Spain went into attack mode with five birdies on each side to sit and -10 for the day with a chance to break the single round record at Thornberry. During the final round, Kim showed outstanding accuracy with her iron shots, with a Greens in Regulation percentage of 94.4.

Kim is the 17th different player to win during the 2018 season and is the sixth player from Korea to win.

DONEGAL, Ireland (AP) - Russell Knox of Scotland holed almost identical putts of 40 feet on the 18th hole, first to get into a playoff, and then to beat Ryan Fox and win the Irish Open for his first European Tour victory.

Katherine Kirk rallied back from a disappointing opening ten holes to birdie four holes late in her round and although ten shots from the leader she is just two shots out of second place and in a share of 6th place and so a good round tomorrow could yield another great finish at Thornberry Creek. "It's unbelievable the way she (Sei Young) played".

"I had the double-bogey on 17".

"I wanted to end with a Tiger-sytle fist pump", said the always smiling and laughing Torres about the putt on 18.
