The list of goods affected by the new tariffs includes seafood, fruits and vegetables, grains and tobacco.

The Trump administration on Tuesday announced a package of tariffs targeting Chinese exports valued roughly at $200 billion.

The White House says the tariffs are a response to unfair trade practices by China.

Trump last week said the United States may ultimately impose tariffs on more than $500 billion worth of Chinese goods - roughly the total amount of USA imports from China a year ago. "Unfortunately, China has not changed its behavior - behavior that puts the future of the US economy at risk".

Trump angered Bachelor Nation when ABC cut to his announcement during " The Bachelorette ", which now stars Becca Kufrin.

China immediately retaliated with duties on the same value of US goods, including soybeans and cars.

The U.S. imposed an initial round of 25% tariffs, applying to $34 billion in imports, as part of a $50 billion tariff plan.

President Donald Trump has already ordered tariffs on another $16 billion in Chinese exports for later this summer, after the comment period on the American list closes, and China will retaliate again.
