Marco Asensio's agent rules out move
One of Liverpool's key targets is Real Madrid star Marco Asensio, according to Italian publication Calcio Mercato, although he does have a £442 million release clause inserted into his current contract with Los Blancos.
The 22-year-old played in three of Spain's four World Cup games but only started against Russian Federation in the last 16 when they were eliminated.
Asensio has impressed since joining the Champions League holders in late 2014 (he had loan spells at former club Mallorca and Espanyol).
And while the legitimacy of such reports from Spain, which suggest Real Madrid flatly rejected the Reds, are up for debate - Asensio left the door open on his Bernabeu future by insisting he would discuss his future after the World Cup.
With Spain's subsequent elimination at the hands of Russian Federation in the round of 16, it appears Asensio has stayed true to his word.

"Marco does not move, he stays at Real Madrid".
'He's improving all the time. Next season I think he'll be very important in Madrid'.
He scored 11 goals last season during his 53 appearances in all competitions, and came on as a substitute during the Champions League final against Liverpool in Kiev.
His form earned him a spot in Spain's 23-man World Cup squad although he only made one start as the 2010 world champions surprisingly crashed out to hosts Russian Federation on penalties in the last 16.
