LiAngelo Ball Joining LaMelo in LaVar Ball's Junior Basketball Association

LiAngelo Ball realizes dream of playing for LA basketball team... in the JBA

The younger brother of Los Angeles Lakers star Lonzo Ball and older sibling of highly touted basketball prospect LaMelo Ball will play for the Los Angeles Ballers of the Junior Basketball Association, the league announced Monday on Instagram.

Unfortunately, it's not Lonzo, it's not the Los Angeles Lakers and it's not in the National Basketball Association.

"After NBA teams surprisingly passed on LiAngelo Ball, he went to work out and give the teams that passed on him a show", the release stated.

For now, he'll ply his trade in the JBA, a league created by his father and marketed as an alternative to the NCAA.

LiAngelo will make his debut Thursday in Ontario, California.

"I just want to win for the team", LiAngelo said.

The middle Ball brother said he just wants to win and is "trying to get better every day" after he went undrafted in the National Basketball Association.

"If you thought the first round of the JBA League games were exciting, then you have seen nothing yet with round two". Oh, and the fact that LaVar moved his sons to Lithuania so they could begin their pro careers.

On Saturday, just weeks after he said he wouldn't play in the league, LiAngelo practiced with his new team.

"We have great chemistry", LaMelo said.
