'Bachelorette' fans annoyed with Donald Trump Supreme Court announcement

Bachelorette’ Fans Furious Trump’s SCOTUS Pick Interrupted Broadcast ABC 10 Jul 2018

The Bachelorette fans have complained that Trump's SCOTUS nomination of Kavanaugh, a federal appeals court judge who worked in the Bush White House, interrupted Monday night's show.

The show's host, Chris Harrison, told viewers that they wouldn't miss anything; the show would be "paused" for the president's announcement and resumed in its entirety. In particular, Mr. Trump angered Bachelor Nation when ABC cut to his announcement during "The Bachelorette", which now stars Becca Kufrin.

Hell hath no fury like a Bachelorette fan scorned. "I can not handle Trump drama and Bachelorette drama at the same time!"

Some were still upset from when the show was interrupted for news about President Trump's historic meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. It's arguably even more important than The Bachelorette, which Trump's press conference will be interrupting. "Now go have a great day and I'll see you tonight!"
