Woman on oxygen tank dies after her power is cut off

Linda Daniels died Thursday after the terminally-ill patient’s power was turned off

A New Jersey woman who relied on an electric-powered oxygen tank to breathe died just hours after her utility company cut service to her home because she hadn't paid her bills. "It was so hot in here, she couldn't breathe-it was unbearable", her daughter, Desiree Washington, told WABC. A hospice nurse told the 68-year-old's family Daniels would pass away "in God's time", relatives recently told New Jersey's News 12.

Washington says $500 was paid to the company two days before, and her family had notified the company of her mother's medical issues.

Her daughters claim $400 was paid in April, with $600 more made about a month later, then $620 more on July 3, which was just two days before Ms Daniels died.

As NJ.com reported, Daniels died seven hours after her home's power was cut. Paramedics brought a portable unit to the house while Daniels' family called the utility company and pleaded with them to turn the power back on. "One rep told me to stop calling, that there were too many tickets in the system", said Desiree, "PSEG said, 'Oh, we're on our way, ' kept telling us that, but no one showed up".

A source involved in the rescue mission who saw two of the four boys walk out of the cave told Reuters that they looked exhausted but healthy, adding that one even looked "vivacious and fresh". "We put one ice pack here by her side and one on the other side", she said. We were fanning her.

PSG make world record bid for former Liverpool ace, Coutinho
Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly considering a world-record £240m bid for Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho this summer. At the 2018 World Cup, Coutinho reached the quarterfinals, where the Brazilians lost to the Belgian squad 1-2.

"She was trying to catch her breath - she was gasping for air", said her granddaughter, Mia, 28. If Daniels' family could prove they had provided the utility company with information about her illness and the necessity of an electric powered oxygen tank, the provider would be in violation for shutting off her power and subjecting Daniels to the heat in her condition.

"PSE&G carefully follows state procedures for customers with special circumstances that are taken into consideration when service termination decisions are being made".

"Because there was no response from the customer, the customer was shut off. They had not notified us of any medical circumstances in the home", it said in a statement. Power was restored Friday, the day after Linda died.

Desiree, however, says family members and hospice workers in the past had informed the utility company in writing of Linda Daniels' medical issues.
