Peter Fonda reported to Secret Service after vulgar Barron Trump tweet

The United States Secret Service has been alerted in response to a tweet by actor Peter Fonda, who said Barron Trump - President Donald Trump's youngest son - should be separated from his mother and put "in a cage with pedophiles".

Fonda, 78, fired off a tweet Wednesday criticizing the Trump administration's policy of separating immigrant parents and children at the USA border, and suggested that the best way to get the First Lady to open her eyes would be to make the situation personal.

In a statement released by his manger and publicist, Peter Fonda acknowledges what he said was "highly inappropriate and vulgar".

Fonda was responding to immigration policies that resulted in children being separated from their families after attempting to illegally cross the USA border.

People have been railing against the Trump administration policy of separating immigrant families arriving at the U.S. -Mexico border without documentation.

The statement continued, "It was wrong and I should not have done it".

Although the tweet has since been deleted, Mrs. Trump's office notified the Secret Service.

Fonda later apologized for his tweet.

This storm is also different from the massive storms observed by Mariner 9 (1971-1972) and Mars Global Surveyor (2001). The little Opportunity rover is still snoozing through it thanks to a lack of light, but Curiosity is still active.

'I immediately regretted it and sincerely apologise to the family for what I said and any hurt my words have caused'.

Don Jr. called on Sony Pictures to halt the release of Fonda's upcoming film, Boundaries, likening the situation to Roseanne Barr's racist tweet, which led to the cancellation of her eponymous ABC sitcom.

Donald Trump Jr., meanwhile, did some tweeting of his own, addressing Fonda: "You're clearly a sick individual" who behaved "like a bully and a coward".

Fonda drew criticism after he expressed his outrage over families being separated at the border by advocating for Barron to be "ripped" from Melania's arms.

"Peter Fonda's comments are abhorrent, reckless and unsafe, and we condemn them completely", the film company said in an emailed statement late on Wednesday.

The decision has not gone down well with at least one person: Donald Trump Jr.

"To pull or alter this film at this point would unfairly penalise the filmmaker Shana Feste's accomplishment, the many actors, crew members and other creative talent that worked hard on the project". Boundaries, which stars Christopher Plummer and sees Fonda in a supporting role, premiered earlier this year at South by Southwest, and will open to just five theaters on Friday.
