Salah won't leave World Cup, Egypt FA boss claims

World Cup 2018: Egypt complain about referee Enrique Caceres after Russia defeat

Egypt's football association will make a formal complaint to Fifa about the performance of referee Enrique Caceres during their World Cup loss to Russian Federation.

The team qualified convincingly to secure their first appearance on the big stage since 1990, only for star player Salah to suffer a shoulder injury in Liverpool's Champions League final loss to Real Madrid last month.

"I have no idea about Liverpool", said Egyptian FA president Hany Abo Rida, according to Sky Sports. "We respect each other and the relationship is great".

The Egyptians contend that defender Ahmed Fathi was pushed before the ball deflected off him for an own goal that gave the Russians a 1-0 lead.

He also felt there was a legitimate penalty appeal in the 78th minute for striker Marwan Mohsen, bundled over by Russian Federation defender Ilya Kutepov.

She learned the children are allowed a 10-minute phone call twice a week. "She wants to see a realistic view of what's happening". While there may not be a "hidden message" in her jacket , Trump knew that wearing the outfit would prompt a reaction.

"The referee should have used VAR (the Video Assistant Referee system) to check and award the penalty".

"It is our right to complain and ask for an investigation", he said.

Reports had suggested that the striker, 26, was set to leave Egypt's World Cup base with one group game to go after their exit was confirmed by Uruguay's win over Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, which followed the Pharaohs' 3-1 defeat to Russian Federation in St. Petersburg on Tuesday.

"We want an investigation into the performance of the whole refereeing team", Rida told Reuters on Friday.

Egypt play their final Group A game against Saudi Arabia, also out of the competition, on Monday.
