Police want to identify this man following an early-morning assault in Queenstown

One of the victims was headbutted and then punched several times in the face.

Police are now desperately searching for two males following the vicious attack and have released images in the hope members of the public can help identify them.

Two men were sitting outside of Fergburger on Shotover Street at about 4am when they were attacked.

In a statement, police said they wanted to identify two men in relation to the assault.

Anyone with information about the identity of the two men or who anyone who saw the assault is asked to call Queenstown police on 03 441 1600.
