Epic Games wants to evolve Fortnite's current meta, especially in the endgame
From new events, to balance changes - even those goofy cosmetic items that bounce around daily.
Finding yourself frustrated once you get to that final circle only to be surrounded by rockets, shotguns and continuous, unchecked building? Kenith urged Epic to launch a test server and ensure all players are satisfied, while Daequan argued that Fortnite's building component was what "hooked millions" in the first place.
In its most recent blog update, Epic is keen to express that Fortnite must support "a wide range of play styles and counterplay" in order to thrive.
Fortnite's Battle Royale mode always had a rather different tone to the likes of H1Z1 and PUBG, largely thanks to being able to build ramps and walls to create impromptu defences and sniping nests, but as time has passed players have come to rely on this more and more. The game needs to change regularly to keep the gameplay fresh and exciting, which is why we've seen stink bombs, clingers, C4 and miniguns prompted as useful strategies to deter competent builders.

Airbus builds wings and landing gear for commercial aircraft at 25 centres in Britain and also has a space technology centre. A pragmatic, sensible Brexit that protects trade & jobs is vital'.
So what's happening now and in the immediate future?
The crux of the changes will enable players to counter others in combat - especially in late-game scenarios which tend to be dominated by excessive building and powerful shotguns. They added, "We are exploring changes to weapon balance and resource economy, like e.g. resource caps". There is much to be done because despite its wild success, the game still is in Early Access phase!
"Not every encounter should have to end in a build-off", Epic said in a blog post.
Epic say it will "be exploring these changes over the next few weeks" so the upcoming patches could be quite eventful. "You should be able to find Victory Royales through multiple strategies", the developer states, "shotguns should be strong, but other weapons have room to grow". The Fortnite team wants to empower players in ways that will showcase "skill, strategy and tactics". Sound off with your thoughts in the comment section below!
