MS defensive end prospect Jaren Handy commits to Auburn

Four-star defensive end Jaren Handy committed to Auburn on Monday

Now, it has received two in the last three days.

This time it's the Auburn Tigers that hold Jaren Handy's interest, as the four-star pass rusher from the Magnolia State was at one time an LSU commit.

Handy, rated the nation's No. 12 strongside defensive end and No. 131 overall prospect, is Auburn's 11th commitment for the 2019 class and second defensive lineman. Handy gives Auburn 11 commits in the 2019 class, two along the defensive line and two from MS - a state the Tigers have not traditionally recruited heavily but have put an emphasis on this cycle.

"First of all, I just want to thank the man upstairs for all the continued blessings and support", Handy wrote in a note posted to Twitter. "I don't look at offers as numbers, but an opportunity to have a FREE education and play the sport I love".

Trump on a Tear Over Immigration: Rips Dems, European Policies
This includes migrants who have either registered or applied for asylum in another European Union country, he added. Italy's support will be crucial if the chancellor is to draw up a joint European Union agreement on the issue.

Handy spoke with SEC Country shortly after he told the Auburn coaches, which came about an hour before his public announcement. Garner, Auburn's veteran defensive line coach, has sent more than two dozen of his former players to the NFL. "I felt comfortable at Auburn".

"I am still going to take visits", said Handy.

There's no shortage of depth on Auburn's 2018 defensive line, which returns T.D. Moultry and Big Kat Bryant at buck, Marlon Davidson and Nick Coe at defensive end, and Derrick Brown, Dontavius Russell, Andrew Williams, Tyrone Truesdell and Alec Jackson at defensive tackle. With Handy's commitment, Auburn moves up to No. 13 in the recruiting team rankings.
