Radio personality Art Bell dead age 72

Art Bell, the longtime radio personality and host of "Coast to Coast AM" has died at age 72. His nationally-syndicated program, "Coast to Coast AM", was aired on about 500 stations in North America in the 1990s.

Radio disc jockey Arthur William Bell passed away at his home in Pahrump, Nevada on Friday the 13th.

"For all you weird late-night radio listeners (me included)", Tweeted USA Today reporter Jeff Zillgitt.

Bell was the founder and original owner for Pahrump station KNYE. The station airs Coast to Coast AM nightly from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. More recently he was involved in the creation and production of the overnight talk show Midnight in the Desert on the Dark Matter Digital Network. His studios were located in his hometown of Pahrump, in Nye County, Nevada.
