James Comey's history of misconduct

Donald Trump Tweets James Comey “Untruthful Slime Ball” In Reax To Pee Tape Talk On 'GMA'

In this relatively short book (due to be published April 17, although NPR obtained an advance copy), Comey presents Trump as a man who never laughs, a man who sizes up other people as assets or targets and - above all - a man who is "without respect for truth". The former Federal Bureau of Investigation director said he considered calling for a special prosecutor to be brought in to oversee the probe but decided it would be "brutally unfair" to do that. Her review, headlined "James Comey Has a Story to Tell". The loyalty oaths. The us-versus-them worldview.

"I knew they would seize on this but felt it is such a great Military term, it should be brought back".

Trump's tweets came just hours before Comey's first TV interview, with ABC News' George Stephanopoulos, was set to air on Sunday evening.

Trump fired Comey last May. "I don't remember consciously thinking about that, but it must have been because I was operating in a world where Hillary Clinton was going to beat Donald Trump, and so I'm sure that it was a factor", he said. Comey advised the president against pursuing an investigation because he said it would make it appear that Trump was being personally investigated and because it is very hard to prove something didn't happen.

The president slammed Comey in two lengthy tweets Friday morning, calling him "a proven LEAKER & LIAR" and "a weak and untruthful slime ball".

"His leadership is transactional, ego-driven and about personal loyalty".

Comey states that Trump repeatedly asked him to investigate allegations involving the president and Russian prostitutes in a Moscow hotel.

United Kingdom jets fire at Syrian base in 'limited and targeted' strike
The post Syria Strikes: British Prime Minister Faces Backlash For Bypassing Parliament appeared first on Channels Television . For his part, the leader of the UK Independence Party (UKIP), Gerard Batten, opposed the British military action in Syria .

Trump took aim at one excerpt from the memoir, "A Higher Loyalty", that has circulated in the media in recent days, in which Comey admitted it was "possible" his handling of the investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails was swayed by polls that showed she was likely to win the 2016 presidential election.

Comey has indeed faced criticism from Republicans and Democrats alike - and the release of his book gives him a high-profile platform to defend himself.

"As far as I know, " Ryan replied.

House Republicans have repeatedly threatened to hold Justice Department officials in contempt as they have sought more than a million pages in documents related to Democrat Hillary Clinton and the beginning of the department's Russian Federation investigation. While Comey does not outline the details of the information - and says he didn't see indications of Lynch inappropriately influencing the investigation - he says it anxious him that the material could be used to attack the integrity of the probe and the FBI's independence.

Trump denied the allegations and said he might want the FBI to investigate allegations in the dossier to prove they were not true, Comey told ABC. Trump said in another tweet Sunday, referring to former President Bill Clinton going uninvited onto Lynch's plane in Arizona and talking to her amid the investigations.

"Boy, were those words I needed to hear", Comey writes.
