Organizers Plan Las Cruces March For Science

About 5,000 people were expected to attend the Washington D.C. March for Science on Saturday, with thousands of others attending similar marches in cities around the country, the Washington Post reported.

Boston was another of the more than 200 cities around the globe that held rallies.

Protesters at Saskatoon's March for Science gathered at the Chinese Ting in Victoria Park before marching through downtown to bring awareness to the need for scientific and evidence based approaches to policy making on April 14, 2018.

The march started at the Barry Events Center and ended at the Marquette Commons with a rally.

They also demanded an allocation of at least 3% of GDP to scientific and technological research and 10% towards education.

"We can not make decisions unless we know the truth and we know the facts".

Trump had established a long record of criticizing climate science and suggested it was a hoax perpetuated by the Chinese government, despite scientific evidence that contradicted those beliefs.
