The U.S., United Kingdom and France launched targeted missile strikes on Syria in retaliation for a suspected chemical attack by Bashar al-Assad's regime on a rebel-held suburb of Damascus.
Precision missile strikes targeted three Syrian chemical weapons facilities: a scientific research center near Damascus, a chemical weapons storage facility west of Homs and a storage facility and command post near Homs.

The U.S. -led strikes come about one year after Trumpordered the launching of 58 Tomahawk missiles targeting a Syrian airfield from which another chemical attack was launched.
