Justice Williams has allowed chemical weapons experts to analyse blood samples from the Skripals, who were left fighting for life by a "brazen" poison attack Theresa May has blamed on Russian Federation.

Russia's ambassador to the U.K., Alexander Yakovenko, hit back Thursday, saying his country "can't take British words for granted", and accusing the U.K. of having a "bad record of violating worldwide law and misleading the global community".

"We will never tolerate a threat to the life of British citizens and others on British soil from the Russian Government", May said in a weekend speech, following the announcement it would expel 23 Russian diplomats.

Both Skripal and his daughter are still unconscious, following a nerve agent attack on March 4, which is why they can not consent to the tests. "It did not go further than the official public statements, according to which she was reportedly critically ill, but in a stable condition".

In an appearance before a committee of MPs in London, Johnson said Russian Federation chose to send a message to potential defectors by targeting Skripal because of London's record of "calling out" Moscow's abuses.

Speaking at a press conference in London on Thursday, the Russian ambassador to the UK, Alexander Yakovenko, accused Britain of "violating" diplomatic protocol by not sharing information on Sergei Skripal, 66, and his daughter Yulia, 33.

Russian Federation has offered several different motives to explain the attack on the Skripals, who may have been left brain-damaged, and to absolve Moscow of responsibility.

Arriving at an European Union summit in Brussels, May said the attack on a former spy and his daughter in England "was part of a pattern of Russian aggression against Europe and its near neighbors from the western Balkans to the Near East".

But Britain wants other European Union leaders to acknowledge that "Russia is a strategic enemy not a strategic partner".

Latest in spy scandal: Russian ambassador challenges Britain to provide proof

Russian Federation has repeatedly said the nerve agent used against the Skripals could have come from another country or a non-state group.

"Both are now in a physically stable condition which is not expected to change in the immediate or near future".

Asked whether Lithuania would take similar action, Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite said: "We are considering such measures". "The U.K. has a bad record of violating worldwide law and misleading the global community, which includes invading Yugoslavia, Iraq and Libya under false pretexts, and supporting the coup d'état in Ukraine".

British Prime Minister Theresa May is visiting Brussels on Thursday for a European Council meeting where she is expected to seek further support from the member states against Russian involvement in the incident, which the United Kingdom describes as "attempted murder".

He added: "History shows that British statements must be verified".

The Kremlin has denounced British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson's statement comparing the World Cup in Russian Federation to the Olympics hosted by Nazi Germany as "utterly disgusting".

The tough response marks an escalating war of words between Moscow and London over the poisoning in southwestern England of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter with a military-grade nerve agent. Russian Federation has fiercely denied the accusations.

Yakovenko also condemned the foreign minister Boris Johnson's comparison of Russia hosting the World Cup later this year to Hitler's 1936 Olympics, saying: "Nobody has the right to insult the Russian people, who defeated the Nazis".

"This is a completely disgusting statement and it does not fit the foreign minister of the country, of any country", Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters. He called Johnson's words "insulting and unacceptable".
