Cardinals free agent WR John Brown to sign with Ravens

Ravens, free agent John Brown agree on deal

Arizona Cardinals unrestricted free agent wide receiver John Brown intends to sign with the Baltimore Ravens, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Baltimore Ravens have signed former Washington Redskins wide receiver Ryan Grant to a four-year, $29 million deal with $14.5 million guaranteed, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport on Twitter.

A third-round pick in 2014, the Cardinals selected Brown out of Pittsburg State after he burst onto the scene with a strong NFL Scouting Combine performance in the 40-yard dash. He was diagnosed with the sickle cell trait during the 2016 season, and then-Cardinals coach Bruce Arians suggested that the condition led to Brown dealing with persistent hamstring injuries.

Halliburton (NYSE:HAL) Downgraded by Bank of America
Cowen reissued a "hold" rating and issued a $60.00 price target on shares of Halliburton in a report on Tuesday, January 23rd. It dropped, as 49 investors sold THS shares while 91 reduced holdings. 37 funds opened positions while 124 raised stakes.

Before the start of the legal tampering period leading up to free agency, it was reported several teams had interest in Brown.

Brown's production would take a hit the next two years in which he only managed to record 816 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 128 catches, though that could be largely attributed to injury and a bad offense as a whole in Arizona. He finished the 2017 season with just 21 catches for 299 yards and three touchdown catches in 10 games. His best year came in 2017 when he had 45 catches for 573 yards and four touchdown receptions. They could pursue former Green Bay Packers standout Jordy Nelson, who was released Tuesday. He had over 1,000 receiving yards in 2015, but his last two season have been a struggle.
