Nice says Balotelli booked for reacting to racist abuse

Mario Balotelli booked after complaining to referee about racist abuse during Nice's defeat to Dijon

Balotelli who now plays for French League 1 outfit Nice had to endure the 3-2 defeat to Dijon but his tribulations did not end at that.

Mario Balotelli was booked while playing for Nice on Saturday night for complaining to the referee about alleged racial abuse being chanted at him from the crowd.

The Italian forward was booked by referee Nicolas Rainville in the 74th minute having remonstrated with fans about the abuse. To his chagrin he met a yellow card from the match official.

As noted by Sky Sports, Nice posted on their Twitter account after the caution that "Balotelli has inherited a yellow card after.getting annoyed with racist insults from the public".

However, the claims of racist chanting have been denied by both Dijon goalkeeper Baptiste Reynet and manager Olivier Dall'Oglio.

JB Hi-Fi whiteware exit hurts 1H earnings
On a brighter note, the company's online sales in New Zealand jumped 90 per cent to $4.8m and are now almost 4pc of total sales. In 2016 JB Hi-Fi acquired white goods retailer The Good Guys for $870 million, which Murray said has been progressing well.

"I told Mario I didn't hear any racist chanting but he said there were some", he told reporters.

There have never been racism problems here.

This is not the first time the former Premier League victor has experienced racism in France, having previously spoken out about monkey chants aimed at him by an opposing fan from Bastia, who later confessed - and was banned by the club. If these taunts existed, they are completely out of order...

The club's president Jean-Pierre Rivere lashed out at Ligue 1 refereeing in the aftermath of the incident and suggested such decisions were to blame for their poor run in form. "I didn't hear anything". Balotelli complained that the home fans were mimicking 'monkey noises'to provoke him and abuse him.
