Larry Nance will make Cavs' debut Sunday against Celtics

Major roster makeover jolts Cavaliers, NBA, but is it enough?

And just like that, another chapter was added to a chaotic season in Cleveland.

Cleveland general manager Koby Altman addressed the moves on NBA TV, explaining that he discussed them with LeBron James beforehand and ultimately "wanted to bring some excitement back" to his team. The Cavs needed a change because they had to change LeBron's attitude.

During NBA trade deadline day earlier this week on Thursday, the Cleveland Cavaliers were one of the most active teams on the day, as they made three trades in total, trading away six players and received four in return.

LeBron James has been doing his bit to try and get used to his new teammates as quickly as possible in order to get the team back on track this season as, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, the Cavaliers star will have a few games with his new team on National Basketball Association 2k18 beforehand. The Kings acquired Joe Johnson from the Jazz and Iman Shumpert and a second-round pick from the Cavs.

And if all that wasn't enough, the Cavs then dealt Wade to Miami for a protected 2024 second-round pick.

Last season's Eastern Conference Finalists have played twice already this year, with the season series now level at 1-1 1 so stay tuned at 8:30pm on BT Sport to see who comes out on top.

The makeover was also aimed at placating James, who can become a free agent and leave Cleveland this summer.

The makeover is meant to help the Cavs make another title run with James, who can opt out of his $35.6 million contract this summer and become a free agent.

While Altman's main objective was to fix Cleveland's culture, he also wanted to spark James, who hasn't been himself in recent weeks. Altman, who has been in charge of the roster only since July, gave James a team he can lead back to the Finals.

The Cavs added Rodney Hood before the trade deadline. So the Cavs turned their roster upside down in hopes of convincing James he doesn't have to go anywhere.

The Cavaliers' two incoming Lakers, Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr., were central too. Boston shot just 26 percent from 3-point land, as the rangy, 6-foot-8 Hood and the solid, 6-foot-9 Nance helped Cleveland contest the shots it couldn't prevent from going up.
