Chiefs Sign Darrelle Revis

Chiefs Sign CB Darrelle Revis

Chiefs defensive coordinator Bob Sutton was the Jets' DC when the organization drafted Revis in the first round of the 2007 draft.

Seeking a spark for their struggling defense, the Kansas City Chiefs made one of the season's surprise moves Wednesday afternoon by signing veteran cornerback Darrelle Revis.

Darrelle Revis can be thankful for a new contract this holiday season.

Revis, 32, figures to bolster the league's 28th-ranked pass defense.

Revis is a seven-time Pro Bowler and has earned First Team All-Pro honors four times. "He has experience and familiarity with Bob Sutton's defense, he's a team guy and we feel like a player of his caliber can help our football team".

Renders By Case Manufacturer Provide Early Look Into Galaxy S9's Design
We've been told that Samsung initially hoped to include it in the Galaxy S9, but that isn't likely to happen at this point. Blass' comments are perhaps no surprise to those who have been following the latest Galaxy S9 rumors.

"We're excited to add Darrelle to the roster", Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid said in the statement. He recorded 53 tackles, five pass deflections and an interception with the Jets last season, when he was coming off a wrist injury and admitted to being out of shape. For his career, he has 29 picks and 12 fumble recoveries playing for the Jets, Buccaneers and Patriots.

Revis, a seven-time Pro Bowler, overlapped in NY for six years when Sutton, now Kansas City's defensive coordinator, was an assistant under both Eric Mangin.

The Jets still owed Revis $6 million when they cut him, but that money was offset.

Revis will return to MetLife Stadium on December 3, when the Jets host the Chiefs. Unexpectedly, Revis will get a homecoming after it looked like his career was over.
