Fighting leaves seven dead in Indian Kashmir

Bandipora: A gunfight militants and government forces started in Chandergeera area of Hajin town in north Kashmir's Bandipora district on Saturday.

According to reports, one jawan was also martyred in the gunfight which broke out while security forces were carrying out a search operation to locate militants in Hajin area's Chandergeer village. Earlier, a commando of Indian Air Force was killed and an army man was injured in an attack in the same area.

Five Militants were gunned down in a joint operation launched by Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday.

Police sources told NDTV that five terrorists had been killed. Both claim the former Himalayan kingdom in full.
