Chennai techie dies after spurned stalker sets her on fire family critical

In a horrendous incident coming from the city of Chennai, a 22-year-old girl died on Monday after a man who is reported to be a former classmate and long-time stalker set her on fire. Her sister and mother also suffered severe burns while trying to save her. The victim's mother is said to have suffered 49 per cent burns and her is said to be in the ICU. A couple of years ago, a man threw acid on a young woman after she refused his proposal to marry him.

As per The News Minute, Aakash, who lives in the neighbourhood, landed up outside Indhuja's residence on Monday night. The report also said that when her parents put out advertisements on matrimonial sites for Induja, Akash threatened them.

Reportedly, initially, they had an argument after which Aakash poured petrol on Indhuja.
