LAPD Confirms Harvey Weinstein Rape Investigation

The LAPD said investigators with the department's robbery and homicide division interviewed a potential victim of sexual assault involving Weinstein, which allegedly occurred in 2013.

Tipsters have been calling into the NYPD with accounts the movie mogul's misconduct - but all of the incidents took place outside of New York, Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said Thursday. This is the first case against Weinstein under investigation in Southern California; police in NY and London are both already investigating multiple cases involving Weinstein.

In a statement to CNN last week, a spokeswoman for Weinstein denied any allegations of "non-consensual sex" and "any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances".
