Teens get their own Amazon accounts (if their parents let them)

Amazon gives teens the freedom to shop with a unique login and password

Amazon is now allowing teens between 13 and 17 years old to create unique logins that are linked to a household Amazon account. This is a pretty good solution that should satisfy both teens and parents. Granola is apparently very hot right now with the teens. Teens can also be assigned pre-set spending limits per order as an alternative to having orders reviewed.

For parents, an email or text message is sent when the order is "placed" - that is, when the teen is ready to order, but the item isn't actually purchased yet.

"As a parent of a teen, I know how they crave independence, but at the same time that has to be balanced with the convenience and trust that parents need".

Amazon has released a new way for parents to control what their teenage children are buying on the shopping website.

The commissioner said Mughal was picked up from a village near Srinagar where he had gone seeking a job. It was easy for him to evade arrest since he was in familiar surroundings and among friends.

While Amazon's conditions of use already let children under 18 to use its services while under parental supervision, the company didn't make doing so all that convenient.

Amazon has launched a new monthly payment plan for Prime Student, according to a recent press release. Amazon will allow parents to scrap the approval setup in favor of setting spending limits, too, the company says.

Prime Student is really just a logical next step in the evolution of Amazon's Prime Membership program. If the parents subscribe to Amazon Prime, the teens will receive access to Prime-exclusive features like Prime Video and Twitch as well. The new plan, which is available to all college students now enrolled in four or two-year colleges across the US, will cost just $5.49 per month, which is a whopping 50 percent off Prime, after a six-month trial.
