Star Wars characters accidentally published in Saudi Arabian school text book

In the course of his 800-year life Yoda served as the Grand Master of the Jedi Order and as a high ranking general

Images of started circulating online from a high school social studies text book in the country, where none other than Yoda appears to have been photoshopped next to King Faisal as he signed the 1945 United Nations Charter.

It turns out Saudi Arabia's history is much more interesting than originally thought.

Saudi Arabia's education minister has apologised for the production of a school textbook in which the Star Wars character Yoda is seen superimposed on a photograph of the late King Faisal.

Rather than the official image of the king on the historical day the United Nations charter was signed, someone - who I assume has since been fired - included a doctored image featuring the Jedi Master.

The Saudi education minister, Ahmed al-Eissa, has issued a statement on the error, stating that they regret the error.

The artist who made the image, 26-year-old Abdullah al-Sheri, told The New York Times he has no idea how it ended up in the pages of a textbook.

USGS can not confirm if N Korea quake natural or manmade
A South Korean expert said the quake could have been caused by geological stress created from the recent nuclear explosion. The missile tests are posturing by Kim Jong Un and a clear attempt to show dominance to the United States and its allies.

"The ministry has begun printing a corrected copy of the curriculum and withdrawing the previous copy and formed a legal committee to determine the source of the error and to take the proper measures".

"All the pictures were very sad, you know, refugees and war", he said.

But things changed when he found a photo of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat - who was assassinated in 1981 - meeting Mickey Mouse during a trip to Disneyland shortly before he was murdered. "This is what the archive needs", Shehri recalled thinking.

"Everyone loves King Faisal here, even the younger generations", he said. Darth Vader also appears in the same art series as does Yoda. And - sealing the deal - he was the same color as the Saudi flag.

"I meant no offense to the king at all", he said.
