Real Madrid extends Marcelo's contract until 2022

Real Madrid defender Marcelo has signed a contract extension which will keep him at the club until June 2022.

"Real Madrid and Marcelo have agreed to extend the contract of the player, who will remain tied to the club until June 30, 2022", the club said.

The Spanish giants announced that Marcelo will appear in a press-conference at the Bernabeu on Thursday afternoon to formally announce the deal.

The Brazil global received a two-match suspension following a red card for a hard foul at the end of the league game against Levante on Saturday.
