One person was killed and several people were injured Saturday when a auto crashed into a group of counter protesters in Charlottesville, and video posted to Twitter captured the scene.

Virginia Secretary of Public Safety Brian Moran said the driver, a man, has been arrested. Officials say one person was killed and at least 26 were treated at local hospitals.

University of Virginia Medical Center spokeswoman Angela Taylor confirmed the death to The Associated Press.
