Suns guard Brandon Knight likely to miss 2017-18 season

Phoenix Suns guard Brandon Knight could miss the entire 2017-2018 season after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee.

Knight suffered the injury in a pickup game last week in Miami. Knight, 25, will undergo surgery after an examination with Head Team Physician Dr. Tom Carter. He averaged only 11 points per game while shooting just under 40 percent from the field, also recording a career-low 2.4 assists per game. He is under contract for the next three seasons at approximately $44 million. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN broke the news Tuesday afternoon.

Brandon Knight in play for the Suns. It looked like there was a path for Knight to bounce back this season, but the injury derailed any chances to do that. Ulis averaged 7.3 PPG and 3.7 APG in 18 minutes a game in his rookie campaign.
